Millinery Mentorship
This is a virtual, hat making workshop. It is 6 weeks of live, real time hat making, conversations and support.
Course Overview
This course is foundational hat making techniques and process. It is more than the basics; it covers proper fits, proportions, pro-tips, and common challenges.
You will learn how and where to source tools and material.
The course teaches an in depth and modern approach to hat making. You will make two real fur felt hats, from start to finish.
Each module will have a live 30 minute discussion focused on specific industry topics and a live 90 minute virtual hat making workshop session.
You will have a 60 minute private session with me during the course.
You will be required to purchase some basic millinery tools before the course begins and after the Sourcing Session. The average investment for tools is approximately $600, which you will order in addition to the course.
I will provide you with a list and links to everything you need to purchase during our first session together; which is the Sourcing session.
Each live session will be recorded and posted so that you may watch or rewatch at your convenience.
Live attendance is not required, but highly encouraged.
This course does not cover dyeing, burning, embellishments, decorating, or hat design.

Next Workshop
This is a 6 week, hands on virtual course. We will begin with a live sourcing session which you will receive a Supplies List with links to everything you will need to procure for the course. The Sourcing Session is April 6th. You will then have 5 weeks to order your tools and supplies, and set up your workspace. Beginning May 10th, we will have 5 weeks of live, interactive hat making sessions. Sessions are held on Sundays from 10am-noon, PT. The full investment of this workshop is $1800.
